12ish Week Scan on Baby Tucker #2

So we had out 12 week scan today. Like I always am, I was nervous until they got the heartbeat on the monitor πŸ’œ I have got to say this has been by far the BEST appointment I have had.I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cry. And no it wasn’t just “pregnancy hormones”. Today as I’m in my ultrasound we did the normal checking of the NT and the second our ultrasound tech placed the wand on the baby, our baby immediately started moving around! Crazy doesn’t even begin to describe how it felt to see our baby move. You see with Emma she didn’t move much if any at all in ANY ultrasound. Her movement was caused by me moving, or the tech trying to wake her up or get her to move. This baby jumped around, turned it’s back to us and stretched their little arms and legs out.Seeing our baby move gave me the biggest feeling of Joy I’ve had in the past year. πŸ’œ The baby is measuring perfectly and exactly at the rate they should be. I had a long talk with my provider about the due date, and my cesarean section. Still not exact date just yet, but I will be delivering between 36-37 weeks. As sad as I am that I won’t be able to have a natural delivery, vaginal delivery etc. I can’t help but be so excited to know the exact date (God Willing they don’t try coming sooner) of when my baby will be here and in our arms.My next appointment we will do an early anatomy scan, and then again at 20 weeks just to make sure everything is looking okay. After today’s appointment I did my basic labs and and an early glucose test. We are doing more precautionary measures than before because Emma’s issues were not found until 20 weeks or after. So I will have 2 anatomy scans. One at 16 weeks and one at 20 weeks, another glucose test around 24-28 weeks, and then ultrasounds at every visit. I was shocked that we were able to get a 3D ultrasound today but we did! I will post that picture below.I can honestly say that today has eased my mind a lot. And I am looking forward to enjoying this pregnancy more than fearing the unknown like I was when I found out I was pregnant. Thanks for checking in, there will be more blogs later next week as we embark on 1 year without Emma and her first birthday.πŸ’œ Katie πŸ’œP.S. here’s the photos and video from today’s appointment πŸŒˆπŸ‘Ά
